Steps
Step 1
Combine together the coconut flour, almond flour, salt in a bowl
Step 2
Add 1 teaspoon of the vanilla essence and half of the maple syrup (60ml maple syrup) and 1/3 of a cup of melted coconut oil
Step 3
Pre heat the oven to 190c fan
Step 4
Grease a baking tray or pie dish
Step 5
After combining the mixture, press into the tray and bake for 15 minutes or until golden.
Step 6
In a saucepan, heat up the remaining maple syrup (60ml), the sweetener, 1 teaspoon of vanilla essence, and the remaining coconut oil for 3-4 minutes. Adding in the chopped pecans half-way.
Step 7
Once the base I’m the tray has cooled, pour over the liquid mixture and bake for a further 20-22 minutes or until golden and not runny.
Step 8
Can be served warm or leave to set in the fridge for two hours is optional.
